CHRISTIAN APOLOGETICS

Christian Apologetics is often a neglected ministry in the Body of Christ. In perfect candor, many people have never heard of the term "apologetics." Yet the importance of this ministry cannot be over emphasized. Consequently, we have given Christian Apologetics its own separate heading.

Apologetics is the branch of Christianity that dedicates itself to the mission of presenting, teaching, and defending the essential doctrines of the historic Christian faith. Apologetics is a subdivision of Christian Theology.

The English word "apologetics" is derived from the Greek word apologia, which means:

Apologetics is a well-reasoned or thought out answer or defense. It is the presentation of a position that one holds or wants to defend! Apologetics uses Biblical and historical evidence to make its case. It also uses logic and reason to support and defend its claim. Apologetics is based on the Biblical instructions found in 1 Peter 3:15 which reads:

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect
(New International Version)

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear
(King James Version)

Our ministry of Christian Apologetics can teach, educate, and train individuals and groups in the following areas:

  1. Learn sound Biblical doctrine and the essentials of the Christian faith.

  2. Learn how to present what you believe and why you believe it.

  3. Learn the teachings and belief systems of other religious groups such as:

As well as other world religions and non-Biblical world views and philosophies.

  4. Become educated in identifying the characteristics of a cult.

  5. Become trained in how to deal with and witness to individuals that are in a cult.

If you desire to be trained or educated in one of these areas, or are interested in training for someone else, please give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
